Meridian Landscaping and Design was founded by Tim Gardiner in 2005. Our vision is to create a company exacting in professionalism and flexible in execution to ensure that we meet the dynamic needs of our clients and their properties. We believe that our success can only be measured in terms of high client satisfaction and progressive employee development.


Meridian is rooted in the aesthetic ideal that all properties, both small and large, should look their best. We offer comprehensive landscaping services from standard maintenance to design and installation. Many of our projects include expert masonry work and rely on the education of our horticultural and landscape specialists. 


Management Team

Tim Gardiner

Tim founded Meridian Landscaping LLC in 2005. Tim is responsible for the vision, culture, values and the daily operations of the company. Tim received his B.S. and MBA from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Prior to Meridian, Tim was a sales executive at several successful software start-ups. In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children.

Production Manager
Nilson Castillo

Nilson is an experienced production manager who has worked in the landscape industry for 11+ years. He worked as a Foreman for 6 years at Community Landscape and 2+ years at Visual Edge. He has worked for Meridian for over 3+ years.  Nilson enjoys being out in the field with his team and in finding new ways to help grow the business.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids.

Joshua Cruz

Josh joined Meridian in 2012. Josh oversees finance, human resources, marketing and all internal operations of the company. In his spare time Josh enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and volunteering. 

Account Manager
Kevin Jones

Kevin joined Meridian in 2018 as an Account Manager for the commercial landscape management division.  He has over 12 years of experience in the landscape industry working in Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina.  He received a B.A from Coastal Carolina University.  Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Matt Kennedy

Matt joined Meridian in 2014. Matt oversees all aspects of the commercial landscape management division including operations, customer service, and business development. Matt is a trained landscape designer with over 25 years of experience. Prior to joining Meridian, Matt worked at Ruppert as an area manager responsible for Ruppert's Northern Virginia area. Matt graduated from Alfred State College with a degree in Landscape Design. Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and son.

Kelvin Velasquez

Kelvin joined Meridian in 2006. He manages all the day-to-day operations of our design & build and construction crews for both Residential & Commercial Properties. Kelvin has over 20+ years of experience in the landscaping and construction industry. On spare time, Kelvin enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Anna Maly

Anna joined Meridian in 2016 from Valley Crest. Anna received a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Oklahoma State University. In her spare time Anna enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, and doing photography.

Cecilia Corales

Cici joined Meridian in early 2018 with experience in Customer Service Development, Sales, & Marketing. She helps oversee Internal Operations, HR, Logistics, & the Marketing/Advertising Division. Cici graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's in Business Management. On her spare time, she enjoys spoiling her dog Flash, going to the movies, and spending time with her family.

Roger Bautista

Roger joined Meridian at the beginning of 2020 as a Production Manager with over 16+ years of experience in landscaping. He worked as a Helper/Foreman for 6 years and 10 years as Production Manager at Brightview He likes to work as a team and create good working relationships. His main focus is safety, quality, and innovation. In his free time, he likes to travel and explore different cities as well as spend quality time with my family.

Douglas Menjivar

Douglas joined Meridian back in 2017 as a helper but quickly progressed to be driver/crew leader. Now he has moved forward to help run crews as a production manager. He has over 7+ years of landscaping experience from working in small & big landscaping companies with specialty in tree removals. Douglas is a team player and is committed to provide quality work out in the field for customer satisfaction. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his kids and watching Supernatural.
